Black and Natural Framed Premium Pine Flag
Made from 3/4" pine stock, the Modern Flag is a simple yet elegant take on the traditional red white and blue flag that started it all for Murphy Wood Art. This flag features black stripes alternating with natural wood stripes (stained in Special Walnut) for a modern yet natural look. The stars are painted in a matching natural wood color for a cohesive look. The entire flag is framed in a clean pine frame, painted black to match the field.
The Modern Flag measures 21” x 37" x 2.5", and is finished with 3 coats of a semi gloss oil based polyurethane that adds protection and sheen to the piece.
This piece can be displayed indoors or outdoors and would be best suitable on a large wall space or mantle.
This piece is shown hung on a covered porch, to give it some protection from the elements, but it could be hung indoors or outdoors and look equally good. The flag comes with hanging wire for easy hanging.

Wood items such as artwork, flags, garden stumps are finished with multiple coats of polyurethane for protection. We use water-based polyurethane or oil-based polyurethane, so if you decide to recoat a product, be sure to check the product description to see which kind was used originally so you can be consistent. We are not responsible for any damage that may result from you treating a product. If you have questions, feel free to reach out to us.
If your item is going to be displayed outdoors, we will use outdoor polyurethane for additional protection. Items left outside year-round in the elements will show wear and tear faster, so we recommend that items are brought in during harsh weather seasons.
