The Illuminated Framed American Flag | Pine Frame
Illuminated and Framed Oak American Flag - Framed in a backlit display.
This unique and well lit piece of Americana is built from 14 individually cut oak wood strips, each glued to a matte black plywood backerboard. The entire piece is shadow framed in wide rustic pine boards, with LED lights running behind the frame for a stunning backlight effect. The entire flag measures approximately 43" wide by 28" tall by 3" deep, and would require placement near an outlet to allow the lights to work (controlled via included remote control).
The flag itself is decidely rustic, with each oak strip distressed and carved using torch and angle grinder. Minwax semi transparent stains allow the oak grain to shine through, while giving vibrant durable color to the flag. The iconic 50-star field is stenciled in white, and then slightly faded for weathered look.
Finally, the flag is sealed with 3 coats of outdoor oil-based polyurethane for lasting durability, protection, and a rich semi gloss sheen that highlights the natural wood.

Should you decide to return any undamaged, unused product, the shipping cost will be deducted from the refund.

Wood items such as artwork, flags, garden stumps are finished with multiple coats of polyurethane for protection. We use water-based polyurethane or oil-based polyurethane, so if you decide to recoat a product, be sure to check the product description to see which kind was used originally so you can be consistent. We are not responsible for any damage that may result from you treating a product. If you have questions, feel free to reach out to us.
If your item is going to be displayed outdoors, we will use outdoor polyurethane for additional protection. Items left outside year-round in the elements will show wear and tear faster, so we recommend that items are brought in during harsh weather seasons.
