Framed Oak American Flag with Natural Stripes | 50 Star | Weathered & Distressed
The Framed Oak American Flag with Solid 50 Star Union in a weathered and distressed finish is made from individual oak boards that have been individually cut, sanded and stained before being assembled on a plywood backer board.
The 50 star union is a solid oak piece that is set above and alongside the traditional 13 stripes that alternate between red and natural colors. Each piece has been heavily sanded and torched to highlight the grain of the solid oak, adding unique character and depth to flag. The entire piece is framed with thick oak that is also sanded down for a weathered and time worn feel. Finally, 3 coats of high-quality marine spar polyurethane is applied for sheen and protection. This piece would be suitable for indoor or outdoor display. Due to the feel and weight of the solid wood, a substantial wall anchor is required. A hanging wire is included on back for easy mounting.
The Framed Oak American Flag would be equally suitable for your front porch (or other outdoor space), or that perfect spot inside on your living room, den or home bar wall.

Wood items such as artwork, flags, garden stumps are finished with multiple coats of polyurethane for protection. We use water-based polyurethane or oil-based polyurethane, so if you decide to recoat a product, be sure to check the product description to see which kind was used originally so you can be consistent. We are not responsible for any damage that may result from you treating a product. If you have questions, feel free to reach out to us.
If your item is going to be displayed outdoors, we will use outdoor polyurethane for additional protection. Items left outside year-round in the elements will show wear and tear faster, so we recommend that items are brought in during harsh weather seasons.
